Carennac on the river Dordogne celebrates the St Clunian network of Churches,. Its Eglise St Pierre and the Chateau Droynes is a major attraction, as is the the medieval ton, retaining much of its historic charm.  Wider than the village, the river has many attractions, from Water cycling, to canoeing at your on pace to swimming to a water park.  There is so much to do here a week is not enough.

• Chateaus: Castlenaud and Montal, the brother and sister of castles within 15 mins of us
• Canoeing with Carennac adventures, as well as Paintballing and high wire walks
• Goffre de Padriac – France natural phenomenon of a limestone cavern with it’s own underground river which you have a boat ride on.
• La Saule – a local waterpark which is a fabulous day out
• Confectionary – we highly recomment Il etait une fois the best cakes for 100 miles – from €3.50 each
• Villages of major interest – Autoire with it’s waterfall and ancient Chateua de Anglais, Collanges la Rouge, Beaulieau suer Dordogne, Rocamadour
• Walking routes – we have a number of GR routes near us to see the breathtaking views
• Homme de Neanderthal – a museum looking at the Neanderthal period
• Festivals – Saint Céré and Figeac have a co-joint festival of music and art
