Delicious home made food and desserts served throughout the day and amazing hospitality.  Its name derives from the 1700 year old watermill ruin beside the residue of a once flowing river. You will find it opposite the Steni Museum of Village life.

Excellent food and ambiance experience. Every detail has been considered here, with the aim of making it the place to go in Polis Chrysochous for an evening’s fine wining and dining. The cuisine is Mediterranean and international creating an exciting range of dishes to suit every palate.

Located in the centre of Polis Chrysochou, next to the museum, this delightful restaurant boosts a 2500sqm herb garden with different kind of herbs which is open to the public. Located in the renovated Polis 1907, a listed building constructed over 100 years ago using local stone and traditional architecture. It is located in the center of the village square of Polis Chrysochous. It offers Asian fusion cuisine.

Arsinoe Fish Tavern Seafood Restaurant in Polis

Arsinoe Fish Tavern is the place to be if you want to enjoy fresh fish and homemade food cooked in a traditional Cypriot style! Dimitris and Maria always give such a friendly welcome as well as the usual free desserts/drinks!

Helios Restaurant – Anassa Hotel  (SEASONAL)

Yiangos & Peters Fish Restaurant in Latsi, Tel+357 26321411  (OPEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR)

The  restaurant’s fame originated back in the early 20th century as the first and only restaurant in the harbor. Absorbing almost every fisherman’s daily catch Y&P’s restaurant was famous around Cyprus for it’s fresh fish and excellent kitchen! Founded by two brothers, Yiangos & Peter, fishermen, who when they opened this restaurant they were operating from an old barn and slowly developed to this pictureque restaurant that is today, offering the same excellent food and hospitality.

Harbourside restaurant, ideal for lunch or coffee while watching boats and harbour activity! Whether is a relaxing lunch in the sunshine or a romantic dinner by the pier Molos Restaurant is definitely a place to visit whilst in the area. The food is fantastic with a wide variety to choose from a wide range of dishes including traditional Cypriot as well as International cuisine, but of course fresh seafood.

A cozy restaurant literally on the sea and a fireplace, open all year. Very fresh fish and seafood such as live lobster, fresh mussels, fish that comes out of the sea on the day. You get the chance to pick your own fish! Serves also Cyprus dishes and  delicacies (such as halloumi, mousakka and much more)  as well as International food. At Porto Latsi there is something for every taste!. During the summer a table by the beach is the one to go for, when it’s starts to get colder a move inside by the large wood burner is recommended!  Fresh fish is pricey so do check the prices before you order.

Homely, relaxed environment with spectacular views

Set in the Paradisos HIlls Hotel, in Lysos, at the edge of the Paphos Forest, the hotel’s restaurant is open to the Public. The A La Carte menu serves a variety of Cypriot, Mediterranean and International dishes to accommodate every taste. Every Sunday the Lunch Buffet, serves the finest Traditional Cypriot and International Cuisine. Most of the food is locally sourced and much of it is organic. Make sure to book your table,  it gets very busy, especially on Sundays

Also in the the heart of Lysos village you will find Maro’s Place. 10 minutes walk from Ithaki House where you can stop for refreshing drinks, mouthwatering desserts as well as breakfast. Maro’s place is open from 5.30 am offering delicious home cooked breakfast to the farmers and hunters of the area, why dont you join one morning!

Right in the heart of Lysos village you will find Lysos Café. 10 minutes walk from Ithaki House. Enjoy a selection of home cooked food and/or take away, even their delicious Mousaka. You can also stop over for refreshing milkshakes and orange juice plus the famous machallepi.

Family run Mediterranean Tavern, focusing mainly on Lebanese food. Delicious including dips and flatbread, garlic bread, Lebanese sausages and nachos.  Main courses from Lebanese chicken and lamb shank or a large mixed grill and of course not to miss the out of this world desserts. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views

A family tavern in the village of Kathikas, is an ex mansion that has been beautifully restored into a restaurant, combining great atmosphere and excellent food. The menu covers International and Cyprus dishes such as Meze, Lamp Chops, Mix Kebab, Fresh French fries, Spinach with eggs, Zucchini meatballs,  traditional grilled Halloumi to name just a few.  Offers ample parking at rear.

Located in the heart and centre of Kathikas Village this trendy place offers a modern touch with a wide selections of drinks and pastries to tempt you throughout the day. Hot & Cold Coffees, Ice Creams, Waffles, Cakes, Muffins, Smoothies, Shakes,  & more. It boosts that is the home of over 100 Gins! Great place to stop after a walk to enjoy the beautiful Village of Kathikas and before you end up for dinner at one of the tavernas there.

The FarmYard Restaurant, located in the picturesque traditional village of Kathikas, offers a warm welcome & relaxing atmosphere, serving both traditional Cypriot and International Cuisine. Reasonably priced with excellent very attentive staff. The outside dining area is very pleasant and blissfully cool after the hot August days. They hold special evenings (live Chinese Evening, Indian Buffet Night etc) and also Sunday buffet. Advisable to call beforehand to confirm if any events are taking place and also to book.

Tina’s Art Cafe is a quirky little corner of peace and creativity very near the centre of the village.  The outdoor garden seating area is covered by the dappled shade of gnarled old trees, making the café a cool oasis in the hot summer months. The terrace is all mismatched furniture and eclectic arts, crafts and sculptures, with books, magazines and board games available for entertainments. And best of all? The mouth-watering homemade cakes which German owner Tina serves in generous portions washed down with a traditional Cyprus coffee or and ice cold frappe. Breakfast and light lunches also served

The Tremythas of Simou. Tel +357 99438421 (OPEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR)

This restaurant is a great find in the town square of Simou where you can enjoy delicious home-cooked  traditional food whilst you watch the locals play a game of backgammon and enjoy cyprus coffee. Cozy atmosphere, and service, excellent taste, fresh ingredients from the region and local wine. Rich meze with lamb chops, pork souvlaki, sieftalia, chicken, halloumi, pastirma (air-dried cured beef), village sausage, koupepia (stuffed vine leaves), mushrooms, mountain greens, and salads. Very well priced. The tavern is located opposite the village church, ask Maria for the key and do go in and have a look. Also in the courtyard there is a Protected Tree ‘ The Pistacia Atlantica” that is over 1,000 years old. From this tree the Paphos Chewing Gum is made.

Its name, “Kika’s Garden”, is quite accurate in describing what this is: Freshly prepared food from the amazing Kika in her beautiful garden. Whether that’s breakfast, brunch or home made jams, they all have quality in common.  Open from 10am to 3pm

Don’t expect any cutlery, or plates, or a swish kitchen and tables with crisp white tablecloths. Just expect friendly staff, fabulous views and freshly prepared sandwiches that are absolutely delicious and are unbelievably inexpensive. Wherever you choose to eat in this part of Cyprus DO NOT miss out on this treat.

Must Visit: The Dreamy ‘Oniro by the Sea’, Pegia (CLOSED FROM NOV 1ST TO APRIL30TH)

With the name of the place directly translated as ‘Dream by the Sea’, it really is a wonderful experience oozing laid back charm, situated in a spot of outstanding natural beauty with unobstructed sea views and wonderful sunsets over the spectacular sea caves which are beautifully lit up at night. Enjoy a meal of  sumptuous seafood dishes, to fresh salads and sandwiches with a real twist, you’ll be in seventh heaven with every bite. Traditional Cypriot dishes that are a MUST try!

✓ Meze – A lavish feast of local delicacies, hot and cold appetizers and mains, s selection of over 20 dishes! You will be begging for them to stop before you even get to the desserts

✓ Kebab – Meat cooked on a skewer and seasoned with olive oil, oregano, and lemon. Kebabs are usually served with tzatziki and pita bread.

✓ Kleftiko – Traditional lamb dish that’s prepared baked in a kiln and cooked for a minimum of 24 hours in the clay oven while it marinates in a mixture of lemon juice, and cinnamon.

✓ Moussaka – Layers of potato, eggplant, zuccini and lamb, covered in  béchamel sauce (my personal favorite dish!)

✓ Koupepia – Mince meat and white rice daintily wrapped in steamed grape leaves.

✓ Loukoumades –Popular sweet, balls of dough deep fried until golden then drizzled with honey. You can find at stalls in busy areas as well as during village festivals. There is one stall opposite Latsi Harbour – do not miss a try!
