Welcome to the Competa Escapes blog page!
All things in and around Competa for your holiday!
Our blogs are on all things Spanish!
Each Competa Escapes blog focuses on all the wonderful things you will find on a holiday in Competa. We’ll chat about food, drink, culture, fantastic striking scenery and friendly, charming people.
What’s in a Competa Escapes blog!
We will bring you regular blogs on what’s good to do in the area. Things like what to see in Competa and where to eat. Also a little further field such as the Rio Chillar falls, the Caves at Nerja, the water parks and beaches. We’ll blog about brilliant restaurants, art galleries worth a visit, museums and much, much more. Sometimes we will take you back in time with a little bit of history thrown in like the history of Competa or the Lost Village of Achebuchal. Andalucía has a rich history and we will bring you tales of the Alhambra and other Arabic influences and explain how they relate to many places and features still in the area.
We’ll talk all things Spain, such as food and local fiestas and celebrations – always vibrant and a whole village affair. Competa’s Noche del Vino in August and the Feria in July are a wonderful mix of modern Competa and the traditions of the past.
We hope you enjoy reading the blogs as much as we enjoy writing them for you.
If there is anything you would like us to blog about then drop a message through our social media pages, they are very active so it won’t take long to get a response.
All the best,
Nicki and Paul
